At the junction of Algade and Søndergade, the shopping street opens into a small green pause. Seating and planting invite people to linger, and a monumental ceramic vessel makes the space part of Middelfart's wider Ceramics Trail.
The Middelfart Pots are not conventional monuments fixed permanently to one site. They are movable landmarks placed where something new is taking shape. This pot turns an everyday junction into a place to stop and notice how a town centre can keep changing through small acts of design, culture and shared use.
Ceramicist and sculptor Per Ahlmann created the pots at Tommerup Ceramic Workshop. They share a bold stoneware form, but their glazes give each one an individual character. Points around the sides recall ship's wheels and compass roses, joining the town's ceramic identity to its maritime past.
